We are going to Gran Canaria again. We had actually booked a trip to Mexico, but we enjoyed it so much with Nina and Kevin, and we are so happy to see octopuses during each dive, and we decided to take a trip back to Grancan, and therefore changed our booking. It's in the Christmas period, so it will be interesting to see the temperature in the water. We stay in an apartment hotel we have booked with Tui. When we travel without children, and we do not need the same standards, we like to have our own apartment. We prepare our own breakfast, and we usually go out to eat in the evenings. The disadvantage of this hotel is that there is no elevator and there are many narrow stairs up to our apartment, so it was a little shock. It makes it hard to carry up all our packing. My mood gets a bit shaky as I can not help my husband to carry up the packing because of my bad back and feel very sorry for him. During our travels, I have noticed that the quality of Tui is not as good as Ving in service and accommodation, but we usually do not care when we are by ourselves. After installation, we hurry down to our Italian at Al Ponte in Puerto Rico's center for good food :) In the same time we buy a pizza that we can share for lunch tomorrow when we are diving. A little smoothie on El Capricho as dessert with the same slightly unsympathetic waiter as last, but good smoothie. And then a cozy walk down to the beach. Oh so finally the dive days start, even if you are a bit tired in the morning its okay :) It's a happy reunion to see Nina, Kevin and Hajni again. We also make a new acquaintance with a woman named Angela who will help with OW course. She is very nice and also comes from Sweden. We go to Arinaga when it’s most beautiful, and I hardly take me down like a whale on the rocks and finally into the amazing water. A little cold at first, but with a 7 mm wetsuit it’s ok, even if the dive time is a little shorter because we start to freeze. It overcast and blew a bit more when we came up from the second dive, but we are really happy with the day. We go back to Puerto Rico where the sun is shining. In the evening we take our walk along the beach walk down to Amadores. It is beautiful to walk in sunset and if you are lucky it is clear weather, and you can see Tenerife. Then we go back to our Italian and eat good food and a smoothie after dinner of course. In Arinaga, some divers had made some Christmas spirit under the surface, and we took the opportunity to make some Christmas cards :) Every night we try to take a walk down to Amadores as it is a nice distance to walk and good to get to move a bit. Almost everyday it is good food and pancake with smoothies. The following day we dive in dear Amadores, unfortunately there are lots of particles in the inner part, but further out over the harbor ridge it is quite okay. We have fun together with Hajni to put up a small Christmas tree. We find that the Christmas balls are a bit difficult because they contain air. After some crafting, we've managed to fill all the balls with water. We finished early today and take a turn away to Puerto Mógan. It is a beautiful little harbor with nice houses and small alleys. Last night and this evening we party after the last dive day. I take what is a 'big no no' to our Italian friend… French fries ;) Thanks for this time we long back already :)
