To Gran Canaria Puerto Rico with the whole family plus grandma and bonus grandpa.
We're going with Tui with the whole family for the first time. We normally go with Ving if we go with the children and have always been very happy with Vings service. Furthermore, we are staying at hotel Revoli Playa. We are a bit shocked when we get off the bus and see that we are very far from the beach. When we booked the hotel on the net it should be 200 m to the beach, but it looks to be at least three times more. When we asked the man at the reception, he casually replies "200.. maybe 270 m..." and shrugged his shoulders. We've never traveled with the whole family like this before, so it feels a bit more important than usual. One room is also placed next to the bar, which then turns out to be a terrible life from every night. Our room has two bathrooms, but only one shower works and the toilet is not attached to the floor and it´s not possible to sit on it. There are two simple beds in the room my husband and I are going to sleep in, but one bed is broken and we have to squeeze into one bed. Normally we have all-inclusive when we travel with the kids but on this hotel we only have half and there are different rules than we usually have. Like drinking is not included at the dinner, etc. One of the waiters at the hotel was very rude and Tui's representative did not know what to do, we were not the first to get into trouble and were dissatisfied this summer. When I called Tui, they wanted a complain later when we return home. When one of the waiters was in the real devil's mood, you had to hope not to get an elbow in the head or a glass of drink melted down the table so the drink went out. The bar usually had nothing refilled and smoothies were unthinkable and limited with each day that went, even if the menu had it. The buffets were a bit dirty, unfresh and not so well-cooked. One evening they had a barbecue table, the chef used the same barbecue cutlery for the raw food that he used and gave to eating guests food. Not so good when it's chicken! When we measured out the stretch from the hotel and the beach it turned out to be about 750 m and not 200 as it said on the website. The hotel quickly changed and pretended that we had misunderstood. The cleaning was not there for some of the cleaning days. I text, email and called Tui many times but nothing happened. We chose to stay away from the hotel as much as possible, and then everything was great. Since Tui handled our complains even on homecoming very badly, I never want to go with my family on Tui's trips again. So far I have never been dissatisfied with Ving's all-inclusive travel, which when we add up everything would have been cheaper than we thought when we booked with Tui. But the rest of the trip we enjoyed :). We tried to vary the days of diving with the kids, looking around, sunbathing and swimming. On two occasions we went by boat to Puerto Mógan. It is very nice and idyllic there with whitewashed houses, details around windows and doors and small alleys with flowers. We also took the opportunity to stay on the beach in Puerto Mógan, swim, sunbathe and watch all the crabs eating on the rocks. Then we did not miss lovely diving of course :) Our two girls now want to take their first certification. To be able to manage it in these few days, we chosed to take 3 steps out of 5 in the OW course, which makes them Scuba divers. We alternated course and relaxation dives. To our great sadness, it turned out that Nina and Kevin sold their center just before we arrived this time. But to our great joy, Nina came all days anyway and dived with us and let the children see all sorts of amazing things. I think it's so amazing to swim beside and see how the joy of discovery and respect for all life is awakened when children are taught in the right way. Nina shows around in every crevice in the rocks and finds all sorts of interesting creatures from spider crabs, octopuses, sea cucumbers, starfishes, etc. The children have started to become very aware of the littering in our seas with the diving. You see things that you don't do otherwise and are worried that animals can get stuck and get hurt in different ways. After a dive day, we had time to go down to the beach and all 3 kids decided to do a little test. They would see in 5 minutes how much rubbish they could snorkel forward, and the result was not so positive. We finished with a nice ice cream bomb before we went back to the hotel :) After a change of clothes at the hotel and some food, we took our usual comfortable evening and took a walk towards Amadores to watch the sunset. There are so many beautiful flowers growing along the walk this time of year. And we try to always end our days with walks. Then it carried home again after a sunny week :) <script data-ad-client="ca-pub-5715385618672998" async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script> google.com, pub-5715385618672998, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0
